We have a double header planned for our May 23^rd meeting. First, representatives from the ESGR will give us a brief update on the Hire our Heroes campaign that was started by Gov. Bryant, as well as some Do’s and Don’ts for employers who hire veterans and the support programs that are out there. Following that, we will have a presentation from Kendall Cox, who is Co-Director of Every Mother, Inc.  If you have a new or young mother in your workplace, you won’t want to miss her presentation. She will discuss the new requirements under the Health Care Reform Act for nursing mothers in the workplace and what we, as employers, need to be doing. Not something you would normally think about, but the law is there and it is something to start planning for now if you haven’t already done so.
