    Please join us next Thursday, April 16th, for our monthly DHRMA meeting being hosted by The Capps Center.  Diane Boston and Steve Summerford (see speaker bios below) will be on hand to discuss a new online service that MDES and WIN Job Centers now offer.  The new service allows employers to post job openings on 2 websites, as well as a mobile app for iphones/android phones.  For more information, please see the following link:  http://www.mdes.ms.gov/news/2014/02/03/ms-launches-website-and-mobile-app/

    Diane Boston is the Delta Workforce Investment Area/Greenwood WIN Job Center On-The-Job Training/Mississippi Career of Tomorrow Contract Writer.  With these titles, she serves 14 counties throughout the Delta Workforce Area.  It is Diane’s joy to inform new businesses about the programs while keeping participating businesses up –to-date with ongoing changes in the programs.  It is her desire to make the work of each business personnel LIGHT and EASY.  Diane obtained her bachelor in Social Work degree at Mississippi Valley State University and, her master’s in Social Work degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  When Diane is not working, she loves traveling with her husband, and spending time with her family and friends.

    Steve Summerford is the Business Relations Coordinator for The Mississippi Department of Employment Security in north Mississippi.  His area covers the Partnership and Delta Economic Districts which contains 41 counties.   He networks and advocates for the WIN centers in North Mississippi and the Governor’s Job Fairs.  He is most excited about the new technology that is available for all Mississippian’s that are either looking for work or looking for workers.  He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. While working with Morrison’s Cafeterias in the Birmingham area, he trained and staffed for all the department heads for new store openings and was training manager for the area. Steve has twin grandchildren, a boy and girl, that keep him quite busy on the weekends.
